Miniature 100% scratch built. Materials used: oven hardening clay, alluminium, acrylics, LED lighting with on/off built into base. It was a birthday present for a friend that I wanted to make for years.

Here’s a little something. An (original design) Gafft Stick made a surprise gift for a close friend of mine.

-Solid steel rod used for bottom portion.
-Mid portion shaped from hardwood tree branch found at my dog park
-Top end hand-carved from solid piece of redwood
-Aluminum fins weathered and worn
-Hollowed concave 4 bolt attachments, then bound in leather (did the tanning myself) wraps to a specific and consistent pattern wrap.
-End blade was a solid steel round bolt. It was then hand carved and shaped from a 6 sided hexigon pattern down to the bottom to make a 3 sided equilateral (triangle) pattern. End result is a beautiful but (literally deadly) spike.
-and to end it all. His name is the Star Wars language Aurebesh, etched by hand into a solid piece of copper.

Now don’t you wish you were friends with me? I could have made this for you by surprise. 😉
