As the year 2020 began, a spontaneous group gathered, inspired to fashion a way for passing along 1,000 stones known as "Emissaries of Peace" to 1,000 members of humanity. The people carrying these stones become Peace Walkers. The stones are Tektite, collected from the Guangdong Province of China, formed when a meteorite impacted the earth hundreds of years ago. The collaborators behind The Peace Pocket Project include international peace activists, renowned meteorite specialists, theosophists, physicians, astrologers, costume designers, community organizers, hand stitchers, weavers, material designers, environmentalists, photographers, authentic leather tanners, and creative inventors. We gathered together to hand cut, craft and stitch 1,000 leather pockets fastened on hand twisted recycled denim cording, to place 1,000 peace stones in the pocket and to distribute to 1,000 Peace Walkers. These stones, Guangdong Tektites, bring the power to unite humanity in oneness, harmful to none, through accountability and responsibility, to meet the urgent calling for the Rebirth of Peace.
