Out of an innate desire to create, HDH was founded in the Spring of 2010 by the combination of Lisa Hackwith, lead designer; and husband Dustin Hackwith lead graphic artist. Both Dustin and Lisa grew up in rural parts of the Midwest in families that one; had a natural instinct to be creative, two; resourcefulness, and three; unrestrained boundaries. With this in mind, HDH came into being out of a

family tradition of making Christmas presents; specifically the “fashion fleece”, a new take on a warm, winter sweater for both men and women. From the fashion fleece sprung a desire to make clothing for men and women that was different than the status quo, fashionable, and highly functional. Shortly after the fashion fleece, in a swirl of beautiful floral and color blocked dresses, spring brought with it the creation of Hackwith Design House’s women's wear. Buyers began to notice and Hackwith Design House soon found itself in boutiques across America and even a few worldwide.

I’m so excited to invite you to celebrate the launch of Through Sunday Vol. 2, a quarterly cookbook magazine inspired by slow weekends, seasonal cooking, and gathering around the table. Join us next week at GOLDEN RULE GALLERY for an afternoon of summer flavors, good company, and a first look at the new issue. I’ll be serving a few samplings from the Summer Weekend menu:
• Garden Martini (Tomato & Watermelon Martini)
• Sweet Corn Scones with whipped honey butter
• Summer in Two Scoops (Tomato & Watermelon Sorbet with Olive Oil Custard)
Copies of Through Sunday Vol. 2 will be available for purchase, along with Through Sunday merchandise.

Join us for an intimate summer evening in the gardens on August 6th!

Hosted by Lisa Hackwith of Lisa Hackwith , Ann Mekala of Ann Elizabeth Mekala , and Jill Livingston of Horta Culture , this gathering is a celebration of the season at its peak—a long table nestled among the flowers, thoughtful details, and a menu inspired by the abundance of August. Each guest will leave with a copy of Through Sunday Volume II- containing all of the recipes from the evening.

With limited seating, this dinner is designed to feel personal and unhurried—a chance to connect with old friends, meet new ones, and enjoy an evening shaped by good food, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful company.
