WAS is proud to unveil one of the few shirts that is being released in the upcoming weeks!
This story that is now being shared is based off of a famous Japanese folktale. This folktale details the story of thr koi fish climbing up a waterfall. The Japanese title of this story is also known as koi no takinobori, this design tells the story of the koi fish swimming up the waterfall braving the harsh waves and the struggles of the waterfall. Eventually through the thousands of years of struggles of swimming up the waterfall, the Japanese gods acknowledge the koi’s perseverance and persistence, blessing the koi and transforming them into a dragon. In the hopes of whoever wears this design, may you, much like the koi also become a dragon through your own perseverance and persistence on your journey up your waterfall as well.
