Recycling polyester textiles is essential for conserving natural resources and protecting the planet. Making virgin polyester requires significant amounts of water—up to 15 gallons per pound—and depends on crude oil, a non-renewable resource.

By recycling old textiles through Sortworthy, we reduce water consumption, minimize oil extraction, and lower greenhouse gas emissions, helping to combat climate change. Recycled polyester can be transformed into new products like jackets, shoes, and bags, extending the life of materials and keeping them out of landfills.
