I’m so excited to be able to share these images from a shoot earlier in the year… starting with our newest set of styles, inspired by the traditional Chinese cheongsam/qipao dress.
Although this was originally conceived as a dress, I wanted to offer it as separates as well for folks who might be sized differently on the top and bottom (smaller bust and bigger hips, or bigger bust/chest and smaller hips, etc), or just prefer the versatility of being able to combine these pieces with other tops and bottoms.
One of the original ambitions of Trued Apparel was to be able to incorporate textures, fabrics and styles from Southeast Asia and my family’s background in that region, but Covid (and now various other world events) keep getting in the way. Based on the popularity of these styles though, I’ll keep pushing it where I can. I’m just excited to finally be starting on this path!
