Meet Duke. Nick works with this poor baby’s dad.
He is 7 months old and battling Cancer. He was diagnosed with ATRT. It has only been diagnosed about 596 times. ATRT is extremely aggressive, deadly, and fast spreading. The doctors said if they didn’t find this when we they did, Duke would have only lasted a couple months. The good news is they did catch it early, so far the cancer has not spread beyond the spinal column. Because this is an aggressive cancer, they are attacking it with an aggressive chemo regiment, a cocktail of three very powerful medications. After two rounds, Duke will require a delicate neurosurgery to remove the tumor from inside and outside the neck vertebrae. After the surgery, we will have 3-4 more rounds of Chemotherapy, then an intense radiation treatment. The radiation treatment will be every day for 6 weeks. Logan (Dad) and Ciara (Mom) are hoping this will leave their little man cancer free, but the odds are against them.

I can’t EVEN imagine! 7 MONTHS OLD!? No family or baby should have to endure this and we want to help as much as we can.

I told Nick I wanted to do a fundraiser for them. They are enduring enough heartbreak and challenges as it is, and I want to help with medical bills to ease their burden a bit. I am 29 weeks pregnant today, and this always is a mentally challenging week for me during pregnancy.
When my mom was pregnant with me, I put her into labor at 29 weeks, and bed rest for the rest of her pregnancy. She missed Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, and other fun events to take care of me, and keep me inside of her for as long as she could.
She had 2 little ones at home, just like I do.

I know this shouldn’t make me nervous, but with all 3 kids so far, I have get uneasy at the 29 week mark. It’s funny because as soon as I hit 30 weeks, I am totally fine and forget all about it 😆

That all being said, my mom’s third child was also the angel of them all (that’s what they called me 👼🏻). I was their peacemaker and their favorite (they didn’t tell me that, but I always thought so ❤️)
So I am really looking forward to meeting this little girl that has chosen me to be her mother.

I should also note... If this little one is anything like me... she will also be a super picky eater, wet the bed until she is in 5th grade, and never ever clean her room.

This has quickly become one of my new favorite tops! It has a loose fit 3/4 peasant sleeve with an elastic band, and a super cute drawstring neckline. I love to tie the drawstrings, which gives a cute keyhole. You can also untie them for a sportier, casual look which reveals more of a v-neck.
