Weird can be so beautiful.

For her spring/summer 1989 collection, Paris-based designer Isabel Canovas dreamed up one of fashion’s most surreal objects: a pair of silk-and-leather heels shaped like ripened bananas, complete with peels flying back from the toe. Canovas, who had earlier worked at Dior and Louis Vuitton, built a short-lived but unforgettable brand in the 1980s, which often incorporated fruit, animals, and humor into couture.⁠

Did you know that ancient Egyptians celebrated the day of deification of the pharaohs as the day of their “real” birth?

So for King Leo, November 5th is first and foremost the day of his installation as the ruler of our household.
