We are a small shop offering an eclectic mix of women’s and men’s accessories and home goods focusing on small batch makers. Our name Howl is a cry of protest against capitalism, exploitation, and subjugation. In our minds, the artisanal counterculture is a rejection of big business where outsourcing and Internet deals undercut the livelihood of the community-based entrepreneur and where quick pro

ducts brought to market diminish the deliberate thought and craftsmanship of the makers. In Salida, we have a hugely creative local community as well as a global tourist draw. We aspire to have our shop serve as a platform to give exposure to the makers, facilitate synergistic connections, as well as bring accessibility to artisanal and bespoke objects within our community. Howl is an Experiential Retail Environment that marries the disciplines of craft coffee and the selling of artisanal craft goods. We will proudly serve Corvus Coffee’s Cold Brew and Pour Over from Denver. We chose Corvus because of their commitment to sustainability and we believe their mission compliments our own in that they focus on the craft of coffee and sourcing ethically. We want to encourage you to stay and hang out with us and enjoy our beautiful community. The vast majority of our product will be North American made with a focus on artisanal makers. Our vision is to give life and meaning to each piece through a highly curated presentation that tells a compelling narrative. The pre-requisite for our product lines will be excellent quality, beautiful design and the ability to convey emotional meaning.
