StraightShot Apparel Adaptive clothing aimed at simplifying medication administration for individuals. In 2014, Emily's little brother was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

He was five-years-old at the time. She watched her brother go through the process of receiving five-six shots of insulin per day, and more finger pokes than anyone wants to experience. That same year, she took a class through the Young Entrepreneurs Academy. She developed an idea for adaptive clothing for children with disabilities to help them with disease management. as created. As a 14-year-old girl, Emily worked hard to focus on making disease management easier for her brother and has since come up with a way to enable patients of several diseases (and their caregivers) have an opportunity to make life a little easier.
