Retirement: Day 3. 🇺🇸😂

The mission: Get my husband’s retired ID.

Day 1: Drove 40 minutes to base… only to find out there were no appointments and no walk-ins available.

Day 2: Got there before 8:00 AM, waited until 4:30 PM… just to be told we needed one piece of paperwork that wasn’t mentioned until we finally made it to the window. 🤦‍♀️

Day 3: We’ve got the paperwork, coffee, snacks, and what little patience we have left. Here’s hoping the third time’s the charm! 🤞

Dumpster Day! 🗑️🎉

We thought unpacking would be the hard part… then the dumpster arrived and we realized just how much stuff we’ve accumulated over the last 20 years of military life, multiple PCS moves, and even a few trips overseas and back. 😅

Apparently we’ve been hauling around boxes of “we might need this someday” for decades.

This week is all about clearing out the old, organizing the new shop, and finally getting settled into our Florida home. Between unpacking, setting up equipment, and finding things we forgot we owned, it’s been an adventure!

Who else has opened a box during a move and wondered, “Why have I moved this thing across the world three times?” 😂

The shop build-out is officially underway! 🔨⚡

Today we’re tackling electrical work, adding outlets, and getting lighting installed so we can start turning this space into a fully functional workshop.

It’s not the most glamorous part of the process, but it’s one of the most important. Every outlet, light, and work area is being planned with production, efficiency, and future growth in mind.

We’re excited to finally start putting our new Florida workspace together and can’t wait to show you the transformation from empty garage to working shop.

It’s about YOU.

You gave a small family business a chance.

You’ve shared our posts.

You’ve worn our gear around the world.

Some of our products have traveled farther than we ever have.

As we prepare for our move from Texas to Florida, we’re feeling incredibly grateful.

If you’ve been with us for a while, you know this didn’t happen overnight.

There was no giant workshop.

No fancy equipment.

No warehouse.

Just determination and a willingness to learn.

We spent countless hours watching tutorials, testing materials, making mistakes, and figuring things out as we went.

Some projects were great.

Some projects ended up in the trash.

But every mistake taught us something.

Every order helped us grow.

Every customer helped us take one more step forward.

Looking back now, it’s crazy to think how far we’ve come from those early days.

Most people see the finished product.

The patches. The shirts. The hats. The laser engraved gifts.

What they don’t see is where it started.

Seek-N-Destroy wasn’t built with investors, business loans, or a fancy storefront.

It started with an idea.

An idea that maybe we could build something of our own while serving our country and raising our family.

Like many military families, we’ve packed up our lives more times than we can count. We’ve started over in new places, made new friends, and learned how to adapt.

Somewhere along the way, that idea became a business.

A business built on hard work, late nights, and a lot of trial and error.

What started as a side project slowly turned into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Tomorrow we’ll show you where we started and some of the very first things we ever made.
