We’ll let the testimony take the spotlight. ❤️‍🔥

“My burning bush
I’ve always said ministry is messy. From late phone calls, to repeated conversations, never ending healing, and constant shifting seasons. I wanted it all. I wanted to be in it and I didn’t care as long as I could help people and point them back to Jesus.

Until I became a mom. It seemed like never ending influx of hormones, emotions constantly up and down. The toddler phase comes around and then the toys!!! Picking up the same toys all day long. I’ve always wanted to be a wife and a mom, but it definitely was nothing of what I expected.

I went from college graduate, to fiance, to wife to mom really quick. Praise God, until I started to feel like motherhood and mess were getting in the way of what “God was calling me to do: ministry”

Fast forward: When Rachel came to talk to our women’s group at church she spoke of Moses and the burning bush. I’ve heard this story before I thought. But not like this, she said Moses was just doing ordinary mundane life, but God invited him into a Holy moment. She asked, “Where do you spend most of your time?”. Immediately I thought “I’m just a stay at home mom. I spend most of my time at home.” Yet the weight of feeling like I had so much time to spare and yet not enough time with God.
She continued to teach and then ask, “Where is God Inviting you into a Holy moment? (What is your burning bush?)”…
THE TOYS!

It all clicked

The toys I had been complaining about picking up, were my ministry.

As we began to paint, she said, “Spend time with God ask him to reveal a word or phrase to you about this moment.”

My “ministry is messy” shifted to “the ministry is in the mess”

I was able to see my toddler and my husband with a new perspective. I was busy trying to catch what I thought God was trying to give me but in reality he had already answered so many of my prayers just not the way I thought it would go.

I’m grateful for Rachel’s revelation and her obedience to share it. I’m not a painter in the least but the Lord showed me exactly what he wanted me to see so this was my best version of my burning bush moment. ❤️”

AXL Creative’s Intensive 2025🔥
The words that recap this powerful time are GLORY•Authority
It was reaffirmed that the Lord wants to use the darkest deepest parts of my testimony to be shared to carry His GLORY. He anointed me with AUTHORITY to do just that.
The question I came back asking is “How do I create and release the power of the Lord?” “How do I carry His glory in all that I do to break the yokes of bo***ge and set the captives free?” ⚔️
I realized, sitting in a room with hundreds of creatives that we are all on one assignment. All commissioned with the same assignment. How we do it may look different, but ultimately we are called to be carriers of His presence to advance the kingdom and draw sons and daughters home.
marked me. A higher anointing pushing me to the deepest scariest parts of myself. This catapulted new ideas and new expressions of creativity. I can’t wait to share with the world. I can’t wait to break darkness with the light of His Glory and the power of His Authority. ⚡️

Woke up feeling extremely blessed this morning. The Lord prompted me to exercise my faith by putting together this fundraiser for the Creative’s Intensive conference. To see how He was able to move and make a way through those around me is a true testament of His faithfulness. 🩷 So from the bottom of my precious little (big) heart, THANK YOU!

For those who may not know me personally, I’m Rachel, the founder of Breaking Darkness Apparel. 🤍 I launched this brand in 2019 with a vision to “paint the streets with the gospel.” What began as a custom clothing line has grown into a ministry I never could’ve imagined—one centered around creativity, faith, and community.Over the years, the Lord has called me to step out in faith through various seasons, leading me to host events inspired by specific God-given visions. These have included Bible study workshops, fellowship gatherings, and our signature Paint and Worship Nights—all created to express and celebrate the creative gifts God has given us.This year, I’m excited to pursue the next step in this journey. I believe God is continuing to expand this ministry through creative expression, and I want to steward that calling well.I’m currently raising funds to attend the AXL Creatives Intensive hosted by Mercy Culture Church.
