Turquoise marks the trail. A cross guards the covenant. Rawhide binds the story together.

Her name was once spoken as a term of endearment. Now it is carried forward.

The blue binding ends before completing its circle—a deliberate absence marking a life left unfinished. From that open edge, a flower rises: rebirth emerging from grief.

The weight plate and the bull preserve the passions of the one who carries her memory. A faithful paw leaves its mark beside them. Each symbol forms part of a private language—strength, devotion, companionship, and love enduring beyond form.

Some pieces begin with a color. Others begin with a person.

Beatrice arrived somewhere between the two.

Dusty rose rabbit fur felt becomes the canvas—wrapped in fragments of print, distressed denim, cord, exposed stitching and small acts of controlled disorder. The textiles travel around the crown and spill onto the brim, while hand-lacing cuts across the crown like a scar deliberately left visible.

Every edge carries evidence of the hand.

Some things are carried because they are useful.
Others because they remember.

Scorched edges. Weathered cord. Frayed lace. Tokens, beads, stitches and small talismans gathered around an ivory crown like evidence from a life already lived.

RELICARIO was made as a vessel — for passage, memory, superstition and whatever survives the road.

A hat that feels inherited from a story no one remembers telling.

Only a compass beneath the brim, a key with no promised door, and the Wheel turning quietly at her side.

Rope, beads, feather and talisman—small relics gathered from roads that leave their mark long after the dust disappears.

Some journeys are measured in miles.

Others in the versions of ourselves we leave behind.

Viajera was made for the latter.
