Trefoil decorations and trim have a deep and long-running association with military-style band uniforms. In this set, I explore the essence of that ubiquitous linear motif and explore its possibilities as a pattern. The result is both familiar and fantastical, blending mesmerizing serpentine line with rigid formality - a contradiction that feels complete and natural, as though ordained and manifested through the will of the cosmos itself…

Summer 2006: The dreams that filled my sketchbooks began making their way online - what began as a way to share reimagined fantasies of DCI & DCA corps uniforms soon garnered attention from real-world corps directors, staff, and their manufacturing partner, Stanbury Uniforms. The time was right for a new voice in uniform design in 2006 - one steeped in tradition with an eye on the future - and for the last twenty years, that future has been yours by design!
