September means I can officially decorate for fall. š even if itās still 100 degrees out. š
My sister-in-law inspired me to make these napkins for our home, and they might be one of my favorite little additions yet. We eat dinner together at our big dining table almost every night, so why shouldnāt that everyday ritual feel a little special?
And can we please normalize the idea that table scapes, napkin rings, embroidered linens, and the āfancy thingsā arenāt just for Thanksgiving?! There are no rules saying you have to save them for a holiday or special occasion.
I found these beautiful green-trimmed napkins at Hobby Lobby and added a simple embroidered āJā for our family. They coordinate perfectly with the vintage-modern colors throughout our home, and somehow make an ordinary Tuesday night dinner feel just a little more extra. (Plus, reusable cloth napkins are a much more sustainable option than reaching for disposable ones every day.)
So consider this your reminder to use the fancy things.
Light the candle. Set the table. Use the pretty glasses. Put out the good napkins.
Why do we wait for a special occasion to make things feel special? Make the ordinary feel a little extraordinary. Do it now. š¤š
