Before Bethlehem came Nazareth. Before the manger came Mary’s “yes.” And before her “yes,” God quietly brought into the world the woman He had chosen to be the Mother of His Son.

The Church ordinarily commemorates saints on the date associated with their death—their entrance into eternal life. There are only three earthly birthdays celebrated liturgically:

* Jesus — December 25
* St. John the Baptist — June 24
* The Blessed Virgin Mary — September 8

🍂 A Little Something Special for My Art & Prayers Ladies 🍂

As we make our way toward Thanksgiving, I want to do something special for the ladies who have helped make Art & Prayers what it has become. 🤎

If you have participated in at least 3 Art & Prayers classes in total, you are invited to RSVP for our special Thanksgiving Dinner on November 21st at 6:00 PM.

I’m sharing this invitation early because I want everyone to have plenty of time to save the date—and for those who haven’t quite reached three classes yet, I don’t want you to miss the opportunity to join us. Classes attended between now and November will count toward your three. 🍂

This evening is simply my way of saying thank you. Thank you for showing up, for creating with me, for praying with me, for opening your hearts, and especially for the beautiful friendships that have grown around our tables. What began as a little dream has become a community that I am incredibly grateful for.

In honor of the Feast of the Archangels, I invite you to join us for a special evening of prayer, fellowship, and devotion to St. Michael the Archangel. 🕯️🙏

We will begin the evening together with Café de Olla and cookies, followed by an outdoor, candlelit prayer of the Chaplet of St. Michael.

Each participant will receive:
• A beautiful crystal St. Michael Chaplet to keep
• A St. Michael Chaplet prayer booklet, including the chaplet readings, the Prayer to St. Michael, and the Litany of Trust
• Café de Olla & cookies
• A peaceful evening of prayer and fellowship

✨ UNDER THE WINGS OF THE ARCHANGELS ✨
A Prayer Intention Nicho — An Art & Prayers Experience

This September, in honor of the Feast of St. Michael, St. Gabriel & St. Raphael, we will create something beautiful for our homes—and meaningful for our prayer lives. 🤍

Together we will paint and assemble a Prayer Intention Nicho, a special place where you can keep the intentions you are entrusting to prayer.

As we create, we will learn about the three Archangels found in Scripture:

⚔️ St. Michael — Protect
📜 St. Gabriel — Proclaim
🐟 St. Raphael — Heal & Accompany

Each nicho can be painted in the color of your choice and finished with your choice of gold, silver, rose gold, white or ivory accents. If you joined me for our Triptych class, you can even coordinate your colors to create a beautiful, cohesive devotional display in your home.

Your class includes the wooden nicho, pre-painted decorative accents, the three Archangel medallions, 12 prayer intention cards, guided instruction, and a take-home devotional booklet exploring St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael and the Nine Choirs of Angels.

And, of course, we'll share café de olla & muffins as we enjoy a morning of faith, creativity and fellowship. ☕️

What a beautiful morning of art, prayer, history, and fellowship.

There is something so special about watching each woman take the same project and make it completely her own. From learning watercolor techniques to discovering the meaning and symbolism behind the art, every little detail was part of the experience.

But my favorite part is always what happens around the table—the conversations, the laughter, the quiet moments of creativity, and the fellowship we share.

Thank you to each of the ladies who joined me for this Art & Prayers Watercolor Experience and trusted me to guide you through it. Seeing your finished pieces made all the preparation so worthwhile.

My hope with Art & Prayers is to create more than a class. I want to create a place where we can slow down, create something beautiful, learn about our Catholic faith, and enjoy time together.

🌸 ARTS & PRAYERS CLASS UPDATE 🌸

A little update to our August Watercolor Floral Vase workshops: I have decided to close the August 28th class date and will be focusing on our remaining class sessions.

If you were considering joining us on the 28th, I would love to welcome you to the August 14th class or the 29th.

We’ll spend the morning painting, learning about the beautiful Catholic symbolism of our flowers and the history behind Talavera, while enjoying café de olla, muffins, and fellowship together. 🎨☕🌿
