Things are so weird in this country right now, to say the very least. I’ve been angry, incredulous, lost, gutted, disturbed, distracted, devastated and so much more by the constant barrage of unhinged things happening. It’s hard to function some days, I’m not entirely sure how to go about my day while humans are locked up in abysmal conditions in this country. While the voices of victims of child abuse and trafficking are being ignored. And so much more.
Very recently, I’ve been taking time to give myself a break from it all. To be ok with not being informed as consistently throughout the day. To take time to get back to things that make me feel more whole. Walks on the beach. Getting lost in a book. Practicing music. Hell, even the dishes feel meditative these days.
Listen, I don’t think I know better than anyone. I don’t think I have it all figured out. I’m just trying to find joy in moments of the day because if I don’t, it’s too dark. You deserve brightness and joy. Do what you need to feel a little more whole when you can. Sending you all big love. ♥️♥️♥️ Stay safe out there.

Everyone’s posting their 2016 flashbacks, so here’s mine. In 2016 we started our online women’s clothing business - via Lularoe (yep, the company with those buttery soft leggings and now the documentary on Prime). We had some good days and some great days and some really really hard days. We drank the koolaid and we were blessed, stressed and Lula-obsessed for 3 years. I look back and I have such fond memories and I am super grateful for our experiences during our time with LLR, and omg this community we have built and the friends we have made! That’s the best part. It’s where Unicorn Tribe was born. Raise your hand if you’ve been here since the beginning!
If you’ve been here since the good ol’ days, you’ll remember the brave pattern mixing and the wild hair colors and little Maisy + Zephyr and the chats on live broadcasts about celebrity crushes and all the lovely people we’ve crossed paths with.
We learned a lot - some stuff the hard way. But without our adventure with Lularoe, we wouldn’t be where we are now. No regrets! Ok, maybe a few regrets with some of that pattern mixing… 😳😂♥️

There’s this trend going around right now with the kids - it’s all about the quarterzip sweater, the matcha (coffee is out, matcha is in), ties and collars and wired headphones and feminist lit. Some refer to it as the “performative man” - Zeph had to get in on the trend. As a mom, seeing my teenager dressed up in something other than a T shirt and sweats - I’m all for it. I realize the term performative man isn’t exactly a good thing, but it’s all in fun.

Attention Good Girls - there’s a bookshop just for you in Kalispell, MT! We visited this charming little bookshop at least 5 times in the few weeks we were in Kalispell, we could not get enough of the amazing selection of books and gifts and stickers and kindle covers and candles and so much more!

Steamboat Springs, CO: a charming little mountain town where we got to chill, the kids started school, we got to visit with and her family, and we just did the most normal life stuff. Truck got a tuneup and a bath, we did yucky paperwork BS for life things, I got a cold and a mini haircut, we baked and cooked, walked around town, and just hung out! What a beautiful place to do life for awhile! Can’t wait to go back and see our friends again soon. 💕
