Always choose love. The Bible talks so much about loving the unlovable and the difficult. We don't love because it's easy, but because Jesus showed us love us first.
It's easy to want to get people to see our side and viewpoint and want to write people off when they don't understand or agree. But it's important to always respect others and be kind. We never know what people are going through or have been through. We not be best friends with everyone, but we all have unique and valuable insights to share. So listen to people's stories, because you never know what they can teach you.

Worst empty advice in my opinion. You are denying who you are and pretending you don't want something good and beautiful that your heart desires...in order to hopefully get it?!
And I doubt most married couples were totally satisfied with their single life before they met their spouse. Of course we need to learn to be content with our own company (which I am most of the time) and not idolize a marriage and romantic relationship. But it's OKAY to want that. It's okay to have some days you are you sad and lonely because it hasn't happened yet. There is nothing wrong with you or your faith in just being human and wanting a healthy relationship to share life with! Don't let others dim that desire or make you feel less than for having hard days around it. ❤️

It’s easy to focus on the lack of and the negative in our lives, but we are living out at least some of the things we once wanted and/or prayed for. And it’s easy to take those things for granted. I try and remind myself I once prayed for my own apartment, my cute red SUV I drive, and an adorable salon right by the beach and I got those things. I may not have everything I desire out of this life, but I have a lot to be grateful for. 🙌

Merry Christmas! 🎄Sometimes you just got to switch it up and make your own plans and explore! This year I decided to rent a cute, little 1 bedroom house and take my pup on a little road trip. We walked a ton, wine tasted, relaxed and visited the surrounding areas. I got to spend time with God in a fresh environment and reread the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. It wasn’t the traditional Christmas my heart has always dreamed of, but it was fun! I got to meet up with a friend who lives up there and watch The Holiday and play ‘Heads Up’ around the fire pit. And I’m so thankful for my little travel buddy. 🐶 I adore my family back home and look forward to seeing them soon! If you are looking for a sign to take a solo trip, here it is. Highly recommend. ✅

December is the darkest month of the year. Feeling more tired, down, drained and unmotivated on top of holiday stress seems only fitting, so give yourself and others extra grace this season!
Emotions, disappointment, and expectations can run high. We all want love and probably a little extra this time of year, and miscommunication and hurt feelings can happen. Talk it out (and sometimes it takes more than one conversation). Have grace. Give space. And forgive. It’s hard to love like Jesus does, but it’s what we are called to do. “Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

Some days are hard. Really hard. Everything seems to be going wrong and you wish things were different, easier. Maybe work is really challenging, family dynamics are super complicated right now, bills are piling up, or the loneliness of the holidays is really kicking in. I get it. But just remember God is with you through it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Just call out to him. You are not alone.

Such an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. I have a grateful heart this week, as I really enjoyed four days off. Beach time with friends, sunsets, a new puzzle, a couple movies, naps, church, good food, started a new novel, and took my dog on a nice date, AKA myself to a golf course restaurant overlooking the ocean. I feel so blessed to be able to do all that in such a beautiful place! And I want to try to choose to stay in that headspace during this holiday season. I may not have the husband and kids to celebrate with, but I have a lot to celebrate for!
