Today is National ASL Day, and we’re celebrating the beautiful language that has opened up a whole new world of connection for our daughter. She wears a BAHA hearing aid for her bone conductive hearing loss, but learning ASL has given her more than just a way to communicate—it’s given her confidence, independence, and a deeper connection with the people around her.
We’re so grateful for this vibrant, expressive language and the community that comes with it. Happy ASL Day!

When Indie went into OHS, my world came to a screeching halt. I remember everything about that waiting room. Seeing her for the first time after surgery was a gut wrenching experience. Now we get to celebrate her “heartiversary” every year.

Children who undergo heart surgery are true warriors—brave, strong, and incredibly resilient. They face challenges with a courage beyond their years, enduring procedures and recovery with a spirit that inspires everyone around them. Their strength isn’t just physical but also emotional, as they navigate uncertainty with unwavering determination. These little fighters remind us daily that resilience isn’t about never facing struggles, but about rising above them with heart and hope.
