Ballistics ⚡️

Once we lock in the last pieces of the prescription program this week, we’re rolling straight into new ballistic prototyping.

The Defenders were built for full eye protection front and side (a true ballistic), and they’re 30% lighter than the cheap plastic or acetate that most brands use, so comfortable your face forgets they’re on. Learned that lesson the hard way on long patrols in AFG and never ending convoys in Iraq. Every ounce counts. Stoked to get back into the prototyping process.

Mirrored coatings (like our Apollo’s Zeiss-grade red-orange mirror) cut glare and keep your vision optically perfect. We designed it to look like the sun setting after a long day at the beach.

One thing we’ve always loved about the design process is pulling inspiration from the world around us. This colorway came from watching the sunset on the Amalfi Coast, 🇮🇹.
