"I don't necessarily remember my first yoga class, but I do remember the first yoga class that made such a lasting impact. I was living in San Francisco and began going to Yoga Tree in the Castro District where introduced me a style of yoga known as 'Bhakti' with a large βSangha'. Bhakti Yoga is often called the yoga of love or the path of devotion and the recognition of the sacred or divine in everything. A sangha is a community of beings practicing the dharma together in order to bring about and to maintain awareness. The essence of a sangha is awareness, understanding, acceptance, harmony and love. It was the first time I felt the unity of my mind, body to soul and sharing this sacredness with a community around me. Together, we came to our mats to worship the ability to have this connection. It became my practice, my sovereignty, my devotion. It's on the 4 corners of my mat that I come to surrender and awaken to what is. Life can be HARD, and yoga has helped me find my way through. If you haven't tried yoga, I encourage you to give it a try and keep trying until you find a studio, teacher and/or style that resonates with and for you. I wish you peace on your journey of coming back hOMe to yourself β€" -- Abby Brown, CEO & Founder of H2OM
