Want to make your own Stick & Stitch stickers?

This is what I use. 🧵
I use “Sulky Stick and Stick or Sulky Sticky Fabri-Solvy “— it’s printable, self-adhesive + water soluble.

You can run it right through your printer, cut out your design, stick it directly onto your fabric and embroider right through it. When you’re finished stitching, the stabilizer dissolves away in water.

No printer? Totally fine.

You can:
– write directly onto the stabilizer with a water-soluble marker
– or place it over your design and trace it right onto the paper

Then cut it out, stick it where you want it + start stitching.

It’s one of my most-used embroidery supplies and such an easy way to get a design from your computer — or your head 😂 — onto whatever you want to embroider.

2019. I started making name sweaters because I wanted to build something that let me stay home with my kids. I just thought I had more time to figure it out.

2020, I got laid off. The plan I was easing into, I had to jump into with both feet, ready or not.

I figured out the rest as I went — the stitch, the transfer, the finish — one sweater at a time.

Seven years and thousands of sweaters later, I’m still home with my kids. Still stitching. Still grateful it happened the way it did.

The tutorial is everything I learned the hard way, so you don’t have to start from zero. It started with one sweater. Yours can too.
