this year, I’m going for it

taking chances, chasing opportunity, going down roads I’ve never gone before

in the coming year, you’ll be able to join me in some new ideas I’m trying out to make this space one for teaching everyday style to people in every generation of life

you and I will partner in teaching you how to shop for clothes you’ll love wearing

you’ll learn how to clean out your closet so that getting ready in the morning isn’t a source of frustration

together we are going to shake off all the old and dates ideas about wardrobe and personal style

This photo is LEGENDARY in our family. It will be the one these weirdos recreate when they’re in college

It will be the one my mother in law will cherish forever and thank me for year after year (tbh, that started they day she opened it 😍)

It’s not always easy to give the gift of memories, but family portraiture is a way to stop time. To immortalize them as they are right now is the gift that will be brand new each year because we all change so quickly

Are you taking family pictures this weekend? This is for you!!!

Grab a tote bag and some halloween candy because we have some work to do

🍩 Today is the day to take the low road and bribe anyone who needs bribing. Pro tip: make sure it is a mess free and fast like fruit snacks and avoid food items that will stain or melt

🍪 A well coordinated throw blanket will double as a parachute, a snuggle device, and give you a place to sit for poses with little kids. Pro tip: use a blanket with texture and neutral colors versus a loud patterned blanket to keep the focus on your people

🍭 Make a playlist with songs that everyone picks. One of our dearest friends calls this song circle and it is an absolute must for getting in the right mood on the way to your session. Pro Tip: my 5 year old will request Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and I have done at least one thing right in my parenting.

Attention all Moms ⚠️ Tomorrow is the unofficial beginning of Holiday Photo Season and I am here to hype you aaaallllll the way up

Your outfit is fire. You are a 10/10 hottie. Out here looking like a whole snack, ready to be in the spotlight and show these kids ya still got it. Get your buns in those pictures (and the everyday ones too) and be fabulous.

Now, the tough love. Please be kind and gentle to you, my friend. The wobbly feelings are real, and typical, and okay, BUT they don’t get to call the shots. Hottie McHotPants has entered the chat and she came correct and will have zero time for nonsense today

What does it mean to you to receive a personalized gift?
