Motivational Monday
reminder: me that the love of one country is in many shades being A black woman born it 1954 .. knowing we all what the same we are a rainbow that make up this country know as America and YES powerful truth: our history holds courage, resilience, and honor — and it continues to inspire us today.
Before Memorial Day became a national holiday, its earliest roots trace back to Charleston, South Carolina. In 1865, newly freed African Americans honored fallen Union soldiers by decorating their graves — an act of remembrance that many historians recognize as the first Memorial Day.

As Pulitzer Prize–winning historian David W. Blight uncovered, nearly 10,000 formerly enslaved people, along with Black Union battalions, schoolchildren, and missionaries, marched around a racetrack on May 1, 1865, laying flowers and lifting their voices in gratitude.

A powerful truth: our history holds courage, resilience, and honor — and it continues to inspire us today.

Rebalancing Through Serenity
I'm walking — not running — into a season where your soul finally gets to breathe. That’s why serenity keeps calling my name. It’s not a trend for me; it’s a lifeline, a compass, a quiet inner “yes” that keeps me steady when the world gets loud.
Serenity,
noun the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled: “an oasis of serenity amidst the bustling city. And honestly? That’s exactly what I'm building: my own oasis, my own rhythm, and my own emotional balance. Why “serenity of soul” matters so much to me
Because I lived enough life to know the difference between chaos and clarity. Because I have done with the small, the rushed, the too short, the too loud. Because my heart is wiser now — it wants depth, not noise. Because serenity isn’t passive; it’s power in slow motion.
I'm choosing to keep walking instead of sprinting, responding instead of reacting, breathing instead of bracing, and living instead of just getting through

A little May Grey hang on the shores of IB, CA…
and with my month of May, I’m sitting in the softness of “what if.”
The backyard game is perfectly imperfect —
taking last week’s sun, getting my hands dirty, cutting back what needs to go so the new growth can come in.
Because…“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.”
Hope. Patience. Faith in the future.
Every small action today becomes something beautiful later.
A three‑day weekend in full swing, doing what I love —
