When I started House of Ladera, I didn’t have a perfect plan. What I did have was a vision, an unstoppable drive, and a belief that I could create something meaningful. And let me tell you—building that dream hasn’t been glamorous. Late nights, early mornings, balancing a full-time job, and moments of doubt have been part of the process.
But here’s what I’ve realized: the hard days are proof that you’re pushing forward. The setbacks, the people who question your vision, and the endless to-do lists—they’re all part of building something bigger than yourself. Every stitch I’ve sewn, every collection I’ve created, and every moment I’ve questioned myself has brought me closer to becoming the designer I want to be.
The truth is, chasing your dreams will demand everything from you, but it will also give you everything back: strength, growth, and a deeper belief in who you are.
I shared this journey with SDVoyager—not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real. I want anyone out there who’s feeling stretched thin or overlooked to know this: your dreams are valid. Your voice matters. And your work is worth showing up for, every single day.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but I’m proud of every step. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see how far I can take this dream.
