This year’s 5 Bucks A Foot bike is here and it may be dreamiest build yet! And it can be yours—donate to Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship between now and Tuesday, August 12, for a chance to take this custom beauty home.
The build starts with a new Hightower CC frame in deep purple, decked out with XTR wireless parts from tip-to-tail, Float X Live Valve NEO rear shock and NEO wireless dropper post, carbon rims, hubs, bottom bracket, cranks and chainring, tires, saddle and grips and finished with ’s illustrious anodized purple stem and topcap. This bike wants for nothing, and with 29-inch wheels and 150 mms of rear travel, it’s as dialed as a trail bike can get.
Proceeds from the 5 Bucks A Foot fundraiser will help close a $125,000 funding gap on the in-progress East Zone Connectivity Project, a plan to build nearly 51 miles of multi-use singletrack connecting Truckee with Loyalton, Sierraville, Verdi and Reno in Nevada, helping to boost rural economies through recreation.
