Shop salt was started by Analina and Veronica, two lifelong friends, both originally from Tijuana, Mexico now living in San Diego. When an opportunity presented itself to represent the works of Lorena Gaxiola a Mexican housewares designer; Veronica, a Sales and International Distribution entrepreneur and Analina, a graphic designer and all around lover of the arts, realized that their dream busine
ss was knocking at their door. Growing up in Tijuana, both felt that they enjoyed the best of both worlds, where Mexican attitude, culture and creativity got infused with American practicality and can-do mentality. Food, architecture, design, and art in this border region is infused with this special “salt”. The goal at shop-salt is to introduce you to original works of art from a new generation of Mexican artists and artisans that create modern, yet functional pieces that can add a special unique flavor to your home.
