We received new toys recently at Sprout! The toys pictured here are some of our new wood toys. These wood toys are sustainably made in Thailand using chemical-free rubberwood, formaldehyde-free glue, organic pigments and water-based dyes.

Toys children play with are often made of ingredients that you wouldn’t want your child to ingest. Though lead paint and phthalates have both been banned from children’s toys, it is not yet clear how compliant toy makers will be with these rules. In addition, plush toys can be made of synthetic materials or cotton that has been treated with pesticides. We suggest that children play with wood toys colored with natural dyes or with plush toys made from organic cotton instead.

We have done the research so you don’t have to! All of our toys have been “Sprout-approved” meaning we have made sure they are safe for your kids and households!
