I’ve been that mom.

The mom up rocking at 1am.

The mom feeding again at 2am.

The mom hushing and shushing and pacing at 3am.

The early years are all kinds of everything, all at once.

All of the magic, mixed with worry.

All of the wonder, mixed with exhaustion.

And so sometimes, we just need a few reminders to soothe the self-doubt and assure us that this work is indeed hard, and oh so important, too.

Daycare fed my milk to another baby!!!
I’ve been sending my 6 month old to this daycare since she was 11 weeks old and haven’t had an issue with them at all up until now. A new teacher started on Monday, so she doesn’t know the babies yet.

I was watching the classroom camera this morning and noticed that this new teacher was feeding “baby b” MY baby’s bottle with my breastmilk. I watch the camera often enough to know that baby b’s bottles look nothing like mine. New teacher then goes and rinses off the ni**le and feeds the SAME BOTTLE to my baby.

I immediately called the director and told her, she ran into the classroom to talk to them. But I don’t know what they’re going to do about the situation. How do I follow up with them when I go pick my baby up this afternoon?
