✨Authentically Khmer 🇰🇭✨
This houl piece is more than 20 years old and was one of our very first textile purchases, an investment in Khmer craftsmanship and artistry. 🤎

We finally decided to bring it to life while being intentional about how we worked with the fabric. One of our goals was to showcase its beautiful colors and intricate patterns, which is why we chose a simple design that lets the textile speak for itself. 💫

Only 10 full panels were used to create this 3 piece outfit. We minimized cutting and kept the panels as intact as possible to preserve the original textile so that it can continue to be cherished and passed down for generations to come. ♥️

Hi, beautiful people! ✨ With so many new supporters here, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.

I’m Ratha, founder and creative behind Rajana Threads. For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to reimagining authentic Khmer textiles through contemporary fashion. While blending traditional textiles with modern design isn’t a new concept, Rajana Threads has been proud to pioneer this approach at this scale, beginning with free custom design and styling services before growing into the brand you know today over the past 6 years.

Rajana Threads has always been about more than clothing. We’re passionate about promoting and educating our community about Khmer textiles, keeping the diaspora connected to developments in the textile industry, and volunteering our time to share this knowledge through conferences, cultural and community spaces. It’s at the heart of everything we do.

By day, I’m a nonprofit leader, working to provide essential services and advocate for refugee and Southeast Asian communities throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. That work has given me the opportunity to build meaningful partnerships and serve the communities that continue to inspire everything I create. 🤍 Thank you always for following along on our journey. 🫶
