Paul’s Hat Works has been crafting classic hats since 1918 of quality materials that will last a lifetime. We work primarily with Beaver fur felt and Ecuadorian woven straw (commonly known as Panama straw). We make small batches of hats: Custom Fit to accommodate odd shapes, sizes and unique style…and Classic Off The Rack styles modeled after San Francisco neighborhoods. We offer a variety of popu

lar styles; Fedoras, Porkpies, Top Hats, Bowlers, Westerns, Optimos, and more. We also specialize in custom design, fit, and offer hat cleaning and refurbishing for hats we make. Our hats are often a right of passage in families, and we are visited by international clientele who choose to visit San Francisco so they can have a hat made here. We are slow-fashion in choosing and honoring our materials to respect the environment, and the hands that make each hat.
