Sometimes people ask me “why do you always compare graffiti to drum and bass” .. well, in its truest form, underground DNB is just like underground illegal graffiti, something that isn’t supposed to exist, it’s looked down upon and is beneath ‘real’ music or art, it represents a sub culture that many do not want to hear from or quite frankly give a s**t about, it gives a voice to the voiceless and is a giant middle finger to the people who think they know better. (and this is not a knock on other styles of dnb, it all has its place, just like legal graff and street art) DNB and graffiti come from the street, its in its DNA and can never be controlled, ruled or be bought by anyone.
