Had to take my dog Sam to the vet.
He had issues which I treated over the weekend with Reiki healing, but I started him on hip and joint chews and he was all better today.
Nonetheless I decided to have him checked by a vet because he was due for a check out anyway.

Since I went to San Carlos anyway, I also delivered my customers orders which were ready early.
One of the fun things about going to people’s homes is enjoying the beautiful weather and landscape as well as people’s gardens and nature.
Today I had this beautiful tree waiting for me 🥰

Rainy spring day
And it’s the day of the week I go to my customers’s homes to do fittings, and bring them back the garments which are ready for them.
It’s my most favorite day of the week.
I get to see the countryside and see beautiful homes in areas I haven’t been before 💗

My customers are surprised by this offer, but there’s food trucks, and mobile vets and pet groomers, mobile car mechanics, and door Dashers. So why wouldn’t I do the same?
All you need is a mirror. I bring everything else. And YES, I’m that good ! 😊 So on a day like today, when everything is wet, people appreciate my service even more.
And YES, I do the work myself. Not sending it to some dry cleaner to do.

Hurray
Fashion Tailoring in San Carlos is officially closed for business.
The store is now empty.

My new location is in San Francisco and you can reach me by appointment only at (650) 832-8222

I offer house calls for fittings or you can come to my studio.

There will be a fitting charge (for my time) in addition to the work done.

My customer ordered pants online size 26.
He received size 28.
When he wrote to the company saying they sent the wrong size, they replied that their sizes are European so he needs a larger size (being American 🤔)
Well, he needs to take them in 2” wich is exactly one size.
So I took pictures and told him to contact the company again and say he now has tailoring expenses, since they made a mistake, and ask them to pay for the tailoring bill 👍

He liked the idea.
The company might not like it as much, but it’s cheaper than returning the pants to Europe.

When someone orders a size, they should get what they have ordered

Saying goodbye, but not completely.

In the last 13 years I had the privilege of serving the community with my sewing skills and design talent. 👚👗👖👔🧥🩳🪡🧵

I started on Laurel st in San Carlos and moved to Industrial Rd. It’s been great and sometimes hard.

Redwood City kicked me out of my home at Docktown marina and still I managed to stay in the area and serve people, but now, as developers are scheming to take over this land as well, rents go higher, and seamstresses are becoming scarce, along with my wish to do more healing and less sewing, I’ve decided to close this shop and work from home by appointment only.

People who value their time (and mine) could reach me via 650-832-8222 text preferably, for a home fittings.

She lost weight and didn’t try it on again until 3 days before the Opera! So she came running over to have me take it in and shorten the strap to fit her perfectly. I had to work over the weekend. Today she picked it up and was extremely happy and grateful 💖Glad I could help

Relining a real fur coat is much harder than relining a regular wool coat. Reason being that a lot of the work is done by hand.

Perhaps this is the time to say that I’m going through some changes in my life. I’ve decided to close the shop I’ve had for 12 years, and move to work from home.

Funny
I’m sitting at “Share the Light” Lifewave convention in Anaheim, listening to the compliance class about what can or can’t be shared on social media, and all I can think of is; the lady’s skirt is 1/2” too long. It should come to the narrowest part of her leg.

the pants of the man in the brown jacket don’t match and look bad.

The pants of the European guy in the light jacket are too long. Slim fit shouldn’t bunch like that.

And the suit pants of the man in blue are baggy and need a hem. They are braking way too much. 🤔
