We at hewn have a simple goal: construct stylish wooden sunglasses that feature superior craftsmanship. Our journey started when we purchased a pair of wooden sunglasses but were disappointed in the quality. We tried many different pairs of wooden sunglasses, but we were unable to find any that left us satisfied. Every pair we tried either were poor quality or fantastically expensive. We designed
dozens of pairs each with minor variances in sizing, thickness, manufacturing process, and of course species of wood. Wood is a beautiful, natural material and each species has its own character. After much research, many discarded prototypes, and many late nights, we proudly present the hewn collection:

What makes us different? We have put a tremendous amount of effort into designing a sunglass that is higher quality. A unique hinge design embedded in the wood keeps the arms firmly in place with no wiggle. The base curve of the sunglass is slightly higher so that they stay closer to your face and feel more comfortable. Our lenses are polarized to reduce glare and provide high contrast. A microfiber pouch that serves as a cleaning cloth as well as a hard, durable case are included with every pair.
