Join us for a midweek creative reset. Through guided prompts and supportive structure, you’ll write freely, surprise yourself on the page, and connect with others doing the same. No critique. No pressure. Just honest words and shared discovery.
If you’ve ever wanted to write but felt intimidated, short on time, or struggled to start, this writing salon is for you. No experience needed. Whether you’ve never written before or feel called to return to the page, this structure helps you move past hesitation and get writing.
How The Writing Salon Works
We’ll have two writing periods inspired by poetry and prompts. I read a poem, offer a jump-off line or two, and you write, pen moving steadily across the page. This helps us bypass our inner critic and access the stories waiting to be told. After writing, we go around the circle and each person reads aloud what they’ve written in a supportive, critique-free space. Most people find this the most powerful part of the experience.
What to Bring:
Bring a notebook, your favorite pen, curiosity, and an open mind. We’ll supply all the creative inspiration.

After writing, explore timeless tailoring + local flair that fits your story at Lemon Twist, where sharp minds find sharp tailoring. Connect with kindred spirits and shop small in the heart of the Mission. No RSVP required—just drop by after the workshop!
