I have been deeply saddened and disturbed by what has been happening in our country. I have continuously been thinking about all the mothers right now terrified for their children’s lives because of the color of their skin. I have been thinking about how I can’t even fathom that Mother’s feeling because of the color of my skin and I will never go through that. I have been thinking about how because I was born white I do not have to teach my children absurd precautions in order for them to stay safe and stay alive. I am outraged and I stand in solidarity with every American who is outraged. We need a change! Young children do not know hate, they are taught hate and it is my duty to teach my children love and equality, To stand up when there are injustices and try to do something about it.
