I know these are a little outside of the Vera florals we’re all used to, but this excellent set of deadstock Belgian linen napkins are pretty special. Block printed in a gold ink and finished with gold metallic handkerchief edging, with a Vera signature in the corner and all original tags to boot!

Is this the same idea as getting high on your own supply? Pulled out a mini paint-by-number kit I bought from and it made a perfect rainy day activity. The paints it came with were a little dried out so we improvised on the colors, and now I have a whole new respect for those that finished the full size paint by numbers back in the day.

Sometimes being a vintage fabric hoarder pays off.

Got together with my other vintage towel lovers for a crafty night led by . showed up with all her scrap towels and we made ourselves a little something to make the season bright.

All it took was a styrofoam wreath form wrapped in all the fringe and sculptured terry details we could find. And my bow making skills came in handy yet again.

It’s the end of a era for me - I gave my notice at in San Francisco (that’s the vintage collective I’ve been part of for the past several years). I’m planning to have all of my spaces shut down by the end of June to focus more on my online vintage sales and . It probably means fewer big heavy or fragile things for sale over here (like the awesome map cabinet pictured here) but still lots of great vintage to come.

It’s hard to shut down something that’s been fun and rewarding, but I’m trying to focus on all the doors it will open instead of the one I am closing.
