Come by Black and Brown with your clean and organized clothes, shoes and accessories, and one of our trained buyers will guide you through the selling process. We buy Mon-Sat 11am-6pm For time efficiency, we encourage a limit of 65 items or less per seller—expect an average wait time of approximately 5-20 minutes. Your buyer will give you a quick rundown of what we are
currently buying, and will look through your items and decide what to buy in. Each item will be individually evaluated on style then priced based on label, condition, and demand. We will total the pieces being bought in and offer the seller 30% out-right cash of the entire retail value ($100 retail=$30 cash) Sellers must be at least 18 years of age, and present a valid US state ID, drivers license or passport. There are many factors that are taken into consideration when deciding what to buy in and deciding on price points: Is this item in season? Is this style feeding our customer and demand? How current is this item or is this vintage piece relevant to current trends? Etc... The editing process at the buying counter is crucial to maintaining our racks current and fresh, as well as balancing a fair price point for both our sellers and buyers. FAQ

WHEN DO YOU BUY IN CLOTHES AND DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? We buy in most of our inventory from the public—from customers that are looking to unload clothes for cash! We select vintage from the 20s through the 90s, modern clothing and designer labels. We look for items in good condition and on trend. We’re a specialty store and want our racks to reflect the best, whether it be quality designer piece, a unique and relevant vintage relic, or a fashion-forward item for our trendsetting customer. Essentially, we want to bridge the gap between vintage and modern fashion, and offer a place where customers across the board can find something to suit their individual taste. HOW DO BUYERS KNOW WHAT TO BUY IN AND HOW TO PRICE IT? Every buyer has been thoroughly trained to perform his or her role at the buying counter. All buys alike are fully capable of offering the upmost customer service and keep-up to our buying standards. We select what is in demand and to sell it at a price that satisfies both our sellers and our shoppers. We have a discerning eye and offer the best prices around. Always buying the best and paying the most! DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY CLOTHES TO SELL BEFORE I GET PAID? No, we buy everything outright for 35% cash of the retail value. Unlike consignment, sellers get paid on the spot. CAN YOUR BUYER COME TO MY HOUSE? Unfortunately, we cannot send our buyers out. If you are a first time seller, we recommend you bring a small selection to get a feel for our process and what we are looking for. WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF BLACK AND BROWN PASSES ON MY ITEMS? Please don’t take it personally! Our customers are objective and are only looking for pieces we know we can sell. We basically buy according to season and stock, however, our buyers will be gladly let you know if there is something you can bring at a later season or if we are fully stocked.
