Batik Wood is a unique way of bringing the traditional batik technique onto wood instead of fabric! In this workshop, you’ll experience how wax and color behave differently on a wooden surface while creating your own beautiful batik wood piece.

It’s a whole new batik experience, same beautiful process, a completely different surface, and so many creative possibilities! ✨

We always love hosting our Mom & Me Batik Painting Events. 💕 It’s such a special way for moms to take a little time for themselves, slow down, and enjoy creating, while their little ones get to explore, learn, and experience something new with batik too.

Every batik scarf turned out absolutely stunning, and we loved seeing how creative the kids were with their batik tote bags! 🎨✨

It was a beautiful day of creativity, connection, and making something special together.

We have something extra special planned this month at iRidescent Batik Studio! 🍂💙

Along with our Batik on Wood Workshop, we’re excited to collaborate with Dream Fields Indigo ｜台灣藍染工藝師在矽谷 for a special Mid-Autumn Festival celebration 🌙✨

And you know what makes it even better? Childcare is included! 🤍 While moms enjoy some creative time making their own batik piece, the little ones will have their own activities and get to experience the magic of batik + indigo dyeing too!

Together, we’ll create, dye, celebrate, and enjoy a cozy afternoon inspired by the Mid-Autumn Festival with traditional mooncakes, Malaysian-style jelly mooncakes, tea, and sweet moments to share. 🥮🫖

No kids? You’re absolutely welcome too! Come experience the beautiful combination of batik and natural indigo dyeing and celebrate the season with us.

Over 16 hours of creating, one layer at a time. From meditation to mandala, from waxing to coloring, layering, and finally cracking, every step of this piece was created slowly, mindfully, and with intention. ✨

This mandala is more than just a piece of batik, this mandala carries a journey of love, energy, and connection. Every line, every color, every layer of wax, and every beautiful crack holds a little piece of that intention.

Batik beyond the fabric. 🌿✨

Did you know batik isn’t limited to fabric? For our very first Batik Wood Workshop, we explored the timeless art of hand-drawn batik using a tjanting on wood, then brought each piece to life with color before revealing the final design through wax removal.

Watching this traditional technique transform a simple wooden tray into a functional work of art was truly magical. Every line is hand-drawn, every piece is one of a kind.
