Sewing as a Life Skill

We are a regional chapter of the American Sewing Guild (ASG), a national organization whose mission is to encourage sewing as an art and a life skill. Members of ASG receive benefits such as discounts from a variety of retailers and access to instructional videos and webinars. Our chapter covers a wide geographical area, so we hold neighborhood group meetings from Menlo Park to Santa Cruz to Morgan Hill so that our members have a chance to meet regularly in locations close to home.

In addition, we hold workshops to learn new skills from guest teachers, and community sew days where we make items that we donate to charitable organizations. We host an annual Autumn Gala where all our members gather to celebrate our accomplishments, elect officers, learn from a keynote speaker, model in an informal fashion show, and enjoy a catered luncheon.

Our members have formed meaningful friendships based on their mutual love of sewing, sharing of creative ideas, and participation in community service. We welcome guests and new members at all of our events. Feel free to contact us!
