my favorite season is sweaters at the beach season 🌤️

this is the relax raglan - a sweater i haven’t stopped reaching for since i bound off last month - and it fits the job perfectly. it’s another stunner by Alicia Plummer, this is knit in gilliatt by de renum natura, and is out now!

the longline pullover by .knits is out today, and it is truly my favorite thing i have made for myself for this year!

oversized but light and drapey, i am already planning many more for my wardrobe.small details make this piece shine, and the fit is delightful, as sarah’s designs always are. it was such a joy to test this pattern!

it’s start of warmer weather fibers coming to dusty yarn co.! ☀️

i am thrilled to be bringing in two new luxury bases this month to our dyed to order library: luxe silk lace & luxe alpaca linen silk, starting on april 3, 2025.

✨ luxe alpaca linen silk (luxe ALS) is a 3-ply fi*****ng weight yarn with 50% baby alpaca, 25% linen, 25% mulberry silk; with 437 yards per 100g. it’s got a softness with drape and is so lightweight. cost will be $36 per skein. photographed here on slide 2 in our colorway “vintage.”

✨ luxe silk lace is a 2-ply lace-weight superwash merino blend with 25% mulberry silk, with an incredible 874 yards per 100g skein! it’s light, drapey, and so shiny. cost per skein will be $30.

both are stellar additions for spring and summer knits, but also are tremendous for any year round wear. we can’t wait to see what you make with them!

launching on January 31st, the DYC SWEATER QUANTITY LIBRARY ! ✨

coming into 2025, i thought long and hard about finding a way to make our yarn accessible to makers. if i have ever had a conversation with you, i hope i’ve shared my mission with dusty: to put our yarn into people’s hands so they can enjoy it. this new offering will hopefully aide those who (like me) love to knit garments, but not always the cost associated.

the SWEATER QUANTITY LIBRARY will be a listing on our library where you will be able to:

• order any colorway we have ever dyed (!!)
• in four or more skeins (a sweater’s quantity)
• on a single base, in a single color
• at a discounted price!

Costs will be released tomorrow upon release day, but the formula will follow $100 / Four Skeins, $200 / Eight Skeins, etc.

I will share more information today and tomorrow as we prepare for our launch, but we are SO excited to get this going and support my fellow sweater knitters!

i am so excited to share this curated color palette with you, these colors have been rolling around in my head for months! these original four colors will play into a larger palette as more dusty daylist “playlists” release.

i found a few others during colorway development that i couldn’t leave out, so please enjoy what i have called the “bonus tracks” that play nicely, but aren’t intended to be apart of my master plan.
