It’s been a long time since we have had stock of our signature 14 ounce slub fabric chinos. Available in both the Workers Chino and Deck Pant in all custom garment dyed colors. Equipped with herringbone pocket bags from Japan, coin pocket, clean finishing throughout, SB Tanning leather patch, and custom metal hardware. These pants are supreme quality and built to last. The RJ-3 and High Low are finally in house and stocked up at Freenote Cloth. Both jackets have been tested for the past three years in various denim fabrics and we are proud to offer several weights in each. When we first release a jacket we typically work with one fabric while we perfect the fit and fabrication of the piece. Often times a new fabric and certainly a rinse requires a new pattern for each individual style. The RJ-3 and High Low are great for layering in the fall or perfect over a t-shirt in the summer months. Freenote Denim Jackets are proudly cut and sewn in Los Angeles, California.

It’s denim week here at Freenote with two major cuts getting picked up at finishing on Wednesday. The Belford and Trabuco are both coming in our custom 14.5 ounce indigo denim from Kaihara Mills, Japan. This is our favorite most worn and most produced denim that is excellent for year round wear. It takes a beating and purposefully does not fade easily. You have to want it because it takes some time and patience but when it fades it will be an all time pair of jeans. The Charcoal Utility has been in the Freenote woven lineup since day one. Made of a Japanese 11 ounce sateen twill that has been stone washed to slightly fade and soften up the fabric. Equipped with double needle stitching, oversized utility pockets, and finished with custom corozo belt buttons. Proudly cut and sewn in the same factory located in Southern California that produced the very first sample over a dozen years ago.

The Wilkes is Freenote’s Western cut. The fit and construction methods are an ode to the original cowboy cut. We began with the traditional western fit and modernized the overall specs for an updated classic meant for all occasions. Our local cowboy Stacy rips in weekly for the most righteous of visits always at about happy hour. The 13 ounce Natural Indigo High Low is finally in the house. This ultra limited denim jacket will not be in stock for long as we were only able to produce fifty units. The denim fabric takes over a year to produce in Japan and is one of our most cherished custom selvedge denims. Equipped with a contrast corduroy collar, custom metal hardware from YKK, labels from the USA, and rinsed to remove all shrinkage. Proudly cut and sewn in Los Angeles, California.

Happy Freenote Friday featuring a collaboration with . The 16 ounce Portola Single Rinse is available exclusively in Denver at Berkeley Supply. Made of a custom denim fabric produced for Freenote Cloth by Kaihara Mills, Japan. It has a beautiful texture and feel after the single rinse. A touch of slub gives an immediate vintage feel right off the bat and you can be assured all shrinkage has been removed with the single rinse. The Portola is one of our classic fits that has plenty of room in the top block with a little taper all the way to the leg opening. A very fresh batch of Midway Sashikos is heading up to Highland Park this afternoon. Made of a 14 ounce yarn dyed Sashiko from Japan that has been rinse to soften up the fabric and remove all shrinkage. The Midway is inspired by the M42 HBT uniform, one of the most commonly issued uniforms for American soldiers in World War II. The boxy fit and oversized pockets were practical necessities of a functional wartime garment. Viewed through a civilian lens, these design elements lend themselves to a distinctive and stylish garment. Available in sizes small through xxl and proudly cut and sewn in Southern California.

The Locklin Seal Brown is made of a 1.1 mm front quarter horsehide made special for Freenote by in Italy. The body is lined with a sturdy moleskin fabric and satin lined sleeve slide right on so comfortably. Equipped with an action back with inverted box pleat, Universal Zippers from Japan, custom interior labels from the USA, corozo buttons from Italy, and reproduction buckles from Japan. The Aloha Tigers are back in action just in time for summer. Made of a screen printed linen fabric from Japan that has been rinsed to remove all shrinkage. This is our take on the classic Hawaiian or Aloha shirt. These shirts were first introduced in the 1930s and gained popularity in the 50s. The original aloha shirts were made of recycled kimono fabric. In order to perfect the fit, we researched a good friend’s collection of vintage shirts spanning across several time periods.
