So, just how many miles was MORE miles?

This one’s for the data nerds.
136,622 of you all joined us for More Miles May this year.

90,124 of you all completed the challenge!
That’s a little more than the population of New Brunswick, New Jersey. Read as: We could start our own town if we wanted to.

States with the most participants were:
1. California (14,570)
2. New York (8,748)
3. Texas (8,392)
4. Florida (5,273)
5. Pennsylvania (4,715)
And I’m not saying it’s a sign of things to come, but something feels prophetic about seeing NY edging out TX here.

Together, we ran 7,716,263 miles. Which means we could have circled the Earth about 310 times. 311 would have made amber the color of your energy, but alas. Next time.

Median distance per athlete was 52 miles.

Starting in 2027, CAPE TOWN will be a part of the Abbott World Major Marathon series. With rolling hills and coastal views, we can’t wait for this latest addition to the Spring circuit.
