Shrimpee the Shrimp Inspiring Children to think Differently with Shrimpee My goal is to open children's eyes to a better world. Calling someone a shrimp is very insulting.

Parents might not realize or have forgotten how hard it is to grow up. Kids have their own problems and troubles they do not voice. The way grown-ups speak isn't the language that children understand, especially when it comes to deeper issues. Through the Shrimpee Books I'm writing I want to show kids a way out of their rut. I get my inspiration from Marine Biology, Psychology and my own childhood

. Shrimpee the Shrimp lacks self-esteem and has been called a wuss before. His kind is known to be eaten and is not known for his good looks or his extraordinary talents. You can always find a friend in him and he'll be loyal to the end. I wanted to create a character that resembled how we feel when we're kids sometimes. I couldn't think of another animal more pathetic then a shrimp. Shrimpee stories are meant to show children that it's not a bad thing to be different. Become a Shrimpee fan today by clicking LIKE. The inspiration for the Shrimpee book came from the hardship growing up with a severe learning disability. The regular font was always very confusing & difficult to read. So, I wanted to find a font that was irregular and would make the p's, q's, b's & d's look different. For most dyslexics those four letters are hard to tell apart.
