Family summer dayzzzz… Happy charters keep plugging along!

Great tournament this year fishing . This year we fished on a 45 ft Cabo Express that we have been rigging since last year. A lot of break downs and burning money on equipment to be able to fish effectively.
Leaving on Sunday night to start the tournament we lost our steering 50 miles offshore. We lost hydraulic pressure in the steering as the piston sprung a leak. A quick phone call was able to come up with plan to tie the rudders together and use the twin motors to steer the rest of the way. As we drove away I turned and looked at and started laughing how we are suppose to go home not another 50 miles offshore with a broken boat. I was surprised how well the boat handled with just steering from the motors.
We were able to put a great 2 days of fishing in including a 6 banger of big eye tuna. We’re able to land 3 of them and got some quality yellow fin for the box. A quick mahi on the troll in the last 5 minutes of fishing. Finished in the top 20 and made more memories in my happy place. A lot of striper hugs going around this past week on the Miss Jennie. Happy 4th of July!

South Carolina crew came up for some big fish hunting. We were able to capitalize on our chances and got some great fish! We weren’t able to connect on our tuna trip, but we were able to find our best bass bite on the ride home. Crew fished long hours and were finally rewarded last two days.
