Today, I’m reflecting on my time in the Black Hills—an area rich in history and significance for many Indigenous communities. My experience there opened my eyes to the deep, sacred connection between the land and the people who have cherished it for generations. As we honor Indigenous peoples today, let’s remember the importance of respecting and preserving these lands and their history.
