You guys probably know that I sell authentic hand-embroidered Mexican organic cotton clothing . I love my customers. One of the gals had a blouse that had gotten too small, so she turned it into Freida Kahlo-style outerwear for leaving the house. I just had to share this with you, as it tickled me so much.

With the Holidays approaching I thought you might like the perfect hostess gift.

This set of 3 Gumdrop crackle-glass ornaments catch
the light from everywhere. They are called Gumdrop
because they are 2 1/2" in diameter, and substantially
heavier than their European counterparts.

Our ornaments are made with recycled glass. They are created in small family factories in Guadalajara. Since most craft in Mexico is a family affair, it is not uncommon to see the youngsters sitting with 5 gallon paint buckets separating the glass colors which are then carried into the kilns to be blown into new items, from pitchers and glasses to gazing globes and these wonderful ornaments.

It is a joy watching these folks blow glass.
