Happy Halloween! I hope you are all having a great day.
I'm having trouble keeping up with email responses and phone calls because I'm wanting to spend all my time in production and shipping. If you could share this or direct anyone you see with questions to this, that would be so helpful.
Production and shipping went pretty well the first week, but by the beginning of the 2nd week, we have had a few big equipment fails (our big work horse cutting machine we named, Blade, just p**ped out on us with no warning for a few days. Yikes!) along with being down to only one printer running and with needing replacement parts, hydrolic fluid, skilled techs and having those main machines p**p out on us, it was a big deal.
This mainly effected the ND planners, the 6-month, some of the LDS Date Books and all TN planners that were batched together last week and now are sitting in line to be cut, or waiting for their dividers to be cut. It set us back about 4 days honestly. FYI, we batch orders to save paper waste and to save time. With over 800 SKU's, and different options to choose from, this is the best way we have found to fulfill orders.
So anyway, Blade is working again and it's hit and miss with the printers, but now we play catch up. It's sad because some of our first pre orders were in the batches that got delayed, some of them just waiting for one item in their order. I'm calling in all my troops to help get us back on track by Monday/Tuesday. Really shooting to get the last of the preorders packaged/shipped by Saturday evening.
I plan on taking the evening off tonight to dress up, eat chocolate, hang out with my kids and pretend I'm the most put together, most organized woman on earth, then I'm going to wake up, do a brain-dump, make a list and get back to work.
P.S. For those hoping for the conference journals, I'm hoping to put final touches on it and get them up on website by end of next week.
