We had an amazing time at the Natural History Museum! Getting up close and personal with life sized dinosaur fossils, displays, and getting to see behind the scenes was an experience they will remember for awhile. The hands on interactive exhibits were wonderful to explore for both the children and adults alike!

My twins are obsessed with dinosaurs right now, so I decided to create a dinosaur themed sensory bin for them. I found some dinosaur eggs at the dollar store and hid them in sand. I also included some small dinosaurs, and we had a blast excavating them.

We started our excavation by using small shovels to dig through the sand. The kids were so excited when they found the first egg! We brushed off the sand and put it in our bucket. We found a total of 2 eggs containing small dinosaurs, a couple of bones, and a few big dinos as well. They loved it!

After we were done excavating, we sorted the dinosaurs by size, colors, kinds and then played with them. The smaller ones went on an adventure in the sandbox while the bigger ones roamed around the backyard. It was so much fun!

If you're looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, I highly recommend our custom made Dinosaur Discovery Sensory Bin.

It's a great way to keep you children entertained while also teaching them about science and nature. Plus, who doesn't love dinosaurs?!? My children have loved being my personal R&D team playing with their new sensory bin, and I'm sure yours will too!
