I get asked a lot about the resin I use in my work, so here’s a little look into it.
Resin is one of my core materials across both my jewelry and preserved florals. I allows me to capture something fleeting, whether that’s a petal from my garden or a sculptural element in a piece of jewelry, and hold onto it.
Sometimes I dip natural forms directly into resin to preserve their shape and texture. Other times, I pour it into molds to create new forms, or combine it with metals and hand-built or printed elements to build something entirely new.
In my flower work, I use it in a more painterly way by layering and sealing each bloom by hand so it keeps its natural dimension.
